Teladoc to the Rescue

Update! I must give another shout out to Teladoc. I think they are the single best thing to come out of this pandemic.

I went to the beach this week during the heatwave and went in the ocean numerous times and have water stuck in my right ear. I tried all the techniques suggested on the Internet for relief with no success. So what do you do? You log in to Teladoc!

In March, in the heart of the pandemic, I had an eye issue and discovered Teladoc. It is the greatest service. All you do is create a profile on their site and put in your concern and they give you the option to call you or FaceTime you.

This time on a Saturday morning at 7AM standing in my kitchen in my pajamas, I received a phone call after two minutes of logging in. The doctor patiently listened to my concerns, asked me a few questions and suggested an antibiotic ear drop. He also gave me suggestions for a follow up if the issue wasn’t resolved.

Like I said, I think Teladoc is the greatest thing to happen during the pandemic. It brought back the days of just calling the doctor and getting a prescription. It may not be your own personal doctor, but it’s the next best thing.

When you have minor issues that can be addressed without having to wait for an appointment and visit the doctor, I suggest Teledoc. There’s no traveling. No waiting. No risk of interacting with a sick or contagious person. In addition, with my insurance there is no cost!

In a few minutes, I’ll be going through the CVS drive through and picking up my prescription and on the road to recovery.

What do you do when you need a doctor? Call Teladoc!
